On the southwest corner of Temple Square is the Assembly Hall, a charming Gothic-style building with lovely stained-glass windows. This jewel of a building was constructed by Latter-day Saint pioneers in 1877.
The old tower was origanaly constructed of lumber with many details on the exterior and had become very unstable.
We climbed out and got measurements and took a few pieces for casting.
Look closely at the pictures, the only way that you can tell the difference is one looks newer.
This was an awesome project.
