A steeple rises from the ashes, as the new First Parrish Congregational worship facility in Saco, Maine is adorned with a beautiful, custom prefabricated aluminum steeple from Munns Manufacturing, Inc. A fire destroyed the original building that had stood on the corner of Main and Beach Streets for 138 years. Four year later the new church had been rebuilt on the original footprint. Because the numbers on the original clock had been removed for repairs before the fire, they were re-used as part of the new clock. Also, the bell in the steeple tower is made from the metal of the original Paul Revere bell which fell to the ground and cracked during the fire.
